Unlike standard "web cams" that require an attached PC, the Internet Home Monitoring Camera contains its own web server, so it can connect directly to a network, over either Wireless-N or wired Ethernet. Real-Time Security

In Security Mode, the camera sends an email with a short video attached to up to three recipients whenever it detects motion in its field of view. You can then log onto the live video stream if the situation warrants. Use the included Viewer & Recorder utility to record the audio/video stream from multiple cameras to your local hard drive or shared network drive, "live," or on a predetermined schedule. The camera can also record directly to a compatible NAS device.

After trying to use a couple of other cameras the Linksys WVC80N was the only device to actually deliver a reliable picture on my wireless network. In fact it was completely plug-n-play. My only wish is that it had a night vision feature.

I use this camera as a montoring device located at my Mother's house whidch is located 52 miles from my home. I have had no problem with this camera performance and quality of received videos. My Mother is 91 years old and wants to live in her own home. This product has helped me to fulfill my promise to her.

These cameras work great and have a superb picture quality even in low light. Now these are not night cameras but the work great from early dawn to late dusk. I have been using them as security cameras an they wonderful. I have them emailing my smart phone motion events.

setup is smooth, some parts like motion detection need to be setup on windows, but all else can be setup on mac/pc. turn on port forwarding and use your real-ip:port to see the camera

I own an RV Storage facility and I have other cameras that cost thousands, I installed these cameras around as a low cost alternative, however these cameras are out performing my other cameras. Now I have eight of them up and working. Plus with an app I can view from my iPhone and iPad. Love these things...

Last December, 2010, I purchased and installed two cameras. They were easy to set up and pretty much worked as advertised. I was away for the winter and used them to keep an eye on the house. One of the cameras stopped working during the winter. but there was bo one at the house to check it out. When I arrived home all it took to get it working again was a push of the reset button. The other camera worked just fine. The two cameras running together use up quite a bit of bandwidth on my Cox Internet cable.

Descent camera with good features, March 15th, 2013

I've had the camera for a year now and use it to monitor out baby's room. The picture quality when the room is lit is quite good. It gets grainy as the light deminishes and definitely has no IR or night vision capabilities. You can view the video (with no audio# via the browser on an iPhone/IPod but I could not get it to work with a Blackberry browser or Android. I could only get the mobile streaming to work on the Blackberry and just for a few seconds before erroring out on the Blackberry side. I could not get it to work on the iPhone/iPod or Andriod. The camera is supported and works well with some free 3rd party IP camera viewer applications available on iPhone and Android. One feature that is really nice with this camera is the ability to capture a 5 second video clip when motion is detected and them email that video clip to the address#es) of your choosing. Other cameras I've looked at and used can only email stills. A drawback is the audio quality. There is a constand crackling noisethat I hear regardless of which computer/browser I user or whether I'm on the LAN or Internet. Definitely a descent camera for the money if the subject matter will be moderately well lit and audio quality isn't critical.

Easy setup on network and works well through web browser viewing video and sound too. Good baby monitor solution because it has video and sound via web browser. Still trying to find good iphone app that sends the sound too. Can only find apps for viewing video.
