Easy high speed wireless connection for xbox!, November 18th, 2012
Have an xbox that is 2 years old that did not have wireless wi-fi built into the device and in son's room away from linksys ea4500 router
. Too far to run ethernet cable from router to xbox. Setup was easy using WPA button on router and linksys wet610n
. Once wi-fi setup on device, connected to xbox and configured xbox as wired network connection. All works great. Game play very fast and video streaming with netflix fast too. Very happy with purchase.
Smple in every way, March 15th, 2013
Use one for my DirecTv HD-DVR the other to bridge a big desktop to my router and printer. Setup was a snap. Connected to my Cisco Valet just as easily.

great for gaming/ streaming, March 15th, 2013
this was my first unit that i tried to setup before thinking of running Cat5e through the home so that my Directv HD system would connect to my router.
I was very pleased with the performance and the ease of use.
Easy setup if you are using a windows PC
fast connection to any cisco router ( i do not have any other brand)
good reception: my unit was the farthest to the wifi base and it still picked up a decent amount of signal enough to network the directv.
works with any device that needs ethernet connection and lacks of wifi
bulky in size, so you will need space next to your unit.
Using a Macintosh is not that easy, but if you know someone that has a windows laptop that is the only time you will need it !
with low reception you will see a decrease in transfer speeds
As with all wifi units, a reboot every couple of months will keep your connection healthy.
Overall a good buy for the price. All I wish is that since you have bulky unit, that you would have the option of buying an external antena to boost your reception

Keeping the peace in the family, March 15th, 2013
I needed to keep my wife's aging Mac on-line without running CAT 5 all over the house. Even using the Mac Classic OS, setup was straightforward.

This product works great if you keep using it regularly - but we don't use it often enough. Sometimes we have to reboot to use.

Excellent, March 15th, 2013
I have a Cisco E4200 wireless router in my main office, but I have another office with 2 printers and a PC for my ebay sales. I am using the Cisco-Linksys WET610N dual band bridge and it works excellent. I feel like I am connected to a wired connection. No need to have expensive cables installed in my house. I can take this device with me where ever I go. I am done with installing expensive cables in houses and have to leave them behind when I move. Cisco wireless is the best.

Excellent bridge though a bit pricey, March 15th, 2013
I was recommended this bridge by Linksys customer support and I am very happy with the purchase. The walk-thru is so in depth it would be hard not to set the bridge up. The price is a bit steep though, you can buy a cheaper bridge but it wouldn't be this easy to set up and the customer service wouldn't be this good. Linksys has made a fan for life, I hate networking but they make it easy.

excellent product, March 15th, 2013
Very reliable and very easy to set up. I didn't have a Linksys wireless N router so I had to go about setting the bridge up manual. No problem. Worked the first time around and hasn't stopped. Use: bridges our network at home to connect our PS3 and our Linux PC that serves as entertainment center.

Great product, March 15th, 2013
I have a slingbox and the only way I could get it to work was to get a remote bridge, tried a netgear and it stunk! It wouldn't stay connected, so I bought a referbed one thru cisco and this one rocks, I've never been disconnected and I'm consistently getting a sharp picture!
Works Great, Easy Setup, March 15th, 2013
I am not really network savvy, but installing this was easy and fool-proof, if you will.

Does what it's designed to do !, March 15th, 2013
I needed a wireless bridge to connect my Blu-Ray and TV to the internet. The WET610N does this just right !! The setup CD walks you through the process easily. You will need to connect your bridge to your wireless router to do this. Once set up...just move the wirelss bridge to your desired location. I did need a 4 way switch to connect multiple devices but I see Linksys now offers a WES610N with the 4-port switch built in. Good value.
WET610N Dual-Band N Entertainment Bridge, March 15th, 2013
THis product is simply the greatest. I was getting ready to have a dedicated line installed which would have cost me monthly service charges for just my multi-media equipment in the basement, when a Best Buy employee told me about this product. I bought it and hooked it up to my multi-media reciever in the basement. Set up was a breeze and I got the desired results without having to pay another monthly bill to the cable company. Truly a great product if you are looking to gain internet connection without a wall jack!

Top Notch Equipment, March 15th, 2013
I only purchase LinkSys or actual Cisco branded products and have never been disappointed. While I did have one issue getting this unit setup, tech support helped me in a couple of seconds getting the proper settings and everything worked perfectly.
Excellent, March 15th, 2013
The Linksys WET610N Dual-Band N was relatively easy to set up, as well as adding devices to it. Very satisfied with the system so far.

Set it and Forget it, March 15th, 2013
I have had the WET610N set up to bridge my satellite receiver and my network for 2+ years now and I have only had to reboot it once. I believe I had to do that because we had 3 or 4 power outages that lasted a couple of hours each. Other than that, I never really even see it and forget that it's there. When you can't hardwire your device in, this is the next best thing. Safe and secure on your wireless network.
Deliver what it should, March 15th, 2013
It delivers what it should. No problem. The set-up easy and it just works.
Well in line with equal products.
But also equal is the price, should be 1/3. Compare with a router...
But with pulling a cable, it's worth the cost, and maybe that is what you should compare with.

Great product - Easy setup, March 15th, 2013
This is a great product for the novice user. It is easy to setup using the Cisco Wizard. I did run into some issues when trying to run two of these devices on the same wireless net. They seem to get confused and performance goes in the toilet. If running just one device, it is a screamer.

Bridgeing My Direct TV, March 15th, 2013
I have no wired conection from my internet to my Direct TV box and this bridge does the trick just fine. I could never get the automatice set-up connection to work, but manual was easy enough and it performs streaming like a champ with good connections speeds. I recommend it as a good way to bring a wired connection from a wireless source.
It's too easy, March 15th, 2013
I have my complete media room e.g. AVR, Blueray Disk, Desktop, Tivo and Satilite Reviecer connected to the internet with a Linksys WET610N. It operates flawlessly.

Great Connectivity, March 15th, 2013
I have been using this bridge for about 4 months now. I is the best wireless N unit I have used. I have a 2400 sq. ft. ranch style home all in a single story and am able to get strong connectivity anywhere in my home. My wireless router on ht other hand has holes and is sketchy at the perimeters. Because of the PoE I can easily run a Cat5 or 6 cable and put the router in the most central location.

Great device, March 15th, 2013
This is a bridge well worth the money. I have several devices which do not have access to my home network via a drop cable. The WET610N allows me to connect these devices to a network switch, connect the WET610N to the same switch, giving the remote devices access to my home network.

Linksys WET610N Bridge, March 15th, 2013
Got this bridge to get my DirecTV to have online access and to download "on demand" shows. Unlike cable, ondemand with DirecTV is download first, see later....
Because of this bridge, I can now do this. Without it, my daughter would be having a fit for some shows that I couldn't download because I didn't have internet access to perform these tasks.
Set up was good. You need to have a little knowledge when setting this bridge to something like a DirecTV receiver because without this basic know how, you could be frustrated really easily. I, myself needed to call into Linksys support to get it connected because it turned out that my provider actually locks out certain things in their wireless router and this needed to be cleared or edited to get internet access. Kinda funky, yes, but that is why Cisco has the great customer service to walk one through this hurdle.
I have been using this bridge for almost two years and I cannot see myself not using it. Great for the price, (refurb) and came with tech support!

Linksys N band bridge, March 15th, 2013
I LOVE this product. I had been a big fan of wireless for too long to remember but in my office I have 4-5 items that are all wireless. I took a Linksys switch and used the bridge and hard wired them all instead of going wireless and the speeds increased incredibly. I would highly recommend this product. I also do a lot of consulting work on fixing computers and laptops and since the bridge is configured to my hot spot even before the switch it was really nice to simply plug the bridge into the desktop or laptop I was working on without having to go through all the configurations to get it on the network. If I had need for another one I'd surely get it. I'm almost disappointed I DON'T have another reason to get one!

Excellent & easy expansion of your network, March 15th, 2013
My pc and my networked laserprinter are located in my study on the 2nd floor, my wireless router on the 1st. I installed the WET610N and a bridge on the 2nd with Linksys' very easy setup procedure and pc and printer were part of the network in a couple of minutes at a 50 Mbps speed!!! A bonus is the Linksys network software which gives you a visual overview of your network and very good assistance in case of network problems. On my advice a friend uses the WET610N also to his great satisfaction. "For the 1st time, I can print from my Pc, my MacBook and my wife's laptop.
Excellent product, should have additional functions, March 15th, 2013
First off, this does exactly what I bought it for. The speeds are fast and there has been zero drop outs. If you need a bridge to simply work, than this will work for you. However, the price seems a little steep for a device without any added functions/capabilities. An integrated gigabit switch would have been a welcome feature. Additionally, the initial setup was a bit strange. Rather than pluging into the router to set it up, a connection via usb to a computer would have been better.

The bridge is fantastic!!!, March 15th, 2013
Before purchasing the WET610N, the computer we use mostly for video streaming was always dropping it's wireless connection. That computer was a good distance from my router at the time, a Belkin and I was using the internal wireless card that came with the computer. I was always resetting the router, which got old fast.
I bought a Cisco E2000 router and the WET610N bridge. Both were easy to set up and have worked perfectly for over a year.

Nice compliment to the home network, March 15th, 2013
I bought this for an internet ready Sony TV with an ethernet port that did not have built in wireless. The setup was not flawless but it also was not overly difficult. Once I figured out the correct sequence of steps it became much easier. Once installed it works like an integrated internal component. A great product for a home network.

Excellent performance, difficult set-up, March 15th, 2013
The WET610 gives faultless performance with total stability. It also solves a problem with multiple devices that are not wirelessly enabled. The only downside I can find with this model is it's complex, difficult set-up procedure. It requires EXPERT knowledge of wireless systems, and steadfastly resists any attempts at simplified solutions to its set-up procedure.

A More or Less Positive Experience, March 15th, 2013
I have owned the Linksys WET610N for, oh, eight months now. Most of the time it has worked admirably. Periodically, however, it loses its connection to my router. Most of the time, simply unpluging it for a few seconds and then pluging it back in solves the problem. But four or five times since I first connected it, I have had to set it up as if for the first time by taking it to my desktop and physically connecting it to my router. Aside from this mildly irritating experience, the Bridge has functioned just fine.

Good practical product, March 15th, 2013
This little black box is great for wirelessly hooking up our DirecTV to the Internet in another room.
The only problem is that it took over 4 hours to download an HD movie. HOWEVER, that undoubtedly has to do with our present download speed on our DSL, which is between 3 and 10 megabites, and not the router.
