New Home Network Installation:
This offering provides an in home installation by a professional technician of a home wireless network to an existing broadband account and the connection of up to two wired or wireless devices at a convenient pre-arranged appointment. The option to add additional devices is available for an additional charge.
The Professional Technician will:
- Install or verify the installation of the modem and router, drivers and protocols on the computer that will connect to the Internet, either wired or wireless.
- Enable print and file sharing on up to two devices, which will allow you to share files between the networked systems, and print from either location.
- Provide a checklist-driven basic review of completed work, including: Hardware review, Sharing files between systems (if applicable), demonstrate how to enable WEP/WPA security key and appropriate documentation procedures. Because each situation is unique, there is no set time to complete this support. Typically technicians are onsite at the customer's location between 1-2 hours. Please keep in mind though, because each specific job is unique, the actual time that the technician will be onsite may vary. Prior to leaving, the technician will obtain customer sign-off on the work order after the basic review of completed work.
Customer Responsibilities:
- An adult over the age of 18 must be present during the entire time the technician is onsite.
- Customer must provide all equipment and cables needed for the installation.
- All equipment/PC's must be in working order, free of viruses, with a bootable operating system.
