Easy install works as expected, May 24th, 2013
The installation was very simple and fast. Everything worked the first time. One minor problem, when the computor is left on,falls asleep, the connection is lost and I have to "repair the connection".

EXCELLENT UPGRADE, March 15th, 2013
I received my AE3000 adapter and installed it in minutes. My laptop is upstairs, 2 rooms away from router and still received all 5 bars and 450mbps. I upgraded from a AE1000 and the difference in speed is quite noticeable. Makes my older laptop quite fast when hooked up to my 450mbps router. Could not be happier with the product!

Great upgrade - easy setup and good performance gain, March 15th, 2013
Just upgraded my linksys ae2500 usb adapter to this new Linksys AE3000 usb adapter to increase performance for internal file sharing and video streaming. Setup was easy, took 1 minute....and performance increased. Used with my EA4500 wi-fi router on the 5 GHz radio band. Overall, good easy upgrade with performance benefits.

Excellent Product, March 15th, 2013
It took a while for customer support to get me connected, because my prior adapted had not been deactivated.
One connected, this adapted provides a consistent 4/5 bar signal strength, fast downloads, and does not drop my connection. Prior adapted had frequently done so.

It worked so good that I bought a second., March 15th, 2013
We have two units, one on a desktop and one on a laptop for our wireless network. This really does deliver 450 mbps in a 5 ghz frequency using an EA 4500. It is very reliable, easy to install, and performs. What more can you ask from a product. I look forward to a new generation in a year or two.

Good With One Irritating Flaw, March 15th, 2013
The AE3000 has good range and throughput and is very easy to set up. However, it has one irritating flaw. To manage wireless connections in Windows 7 it uses that OS's native configuration utility. That utility, at least with the AE3000, does not allow the user to choose which channel to connect to if multiple channels are used with the same SSID. Thus if a 2.4 GHZ channel is slightly stronger than a less crowded and faster 5 GHZ channel the AE3000 will utilize the 2.4GHZ channel with no apparent way to change it.
